Getting Ready for the Trip: Part 1 of 2

Preview: God has provided a way for His saints to be prepared for the second coming of Christ. This is the first part of a two-part lesson on this subject.


Scripture Reading: John 14:1-6.

Memory Verse: I Thessalonians 4:17.

1. Are you ready for the trip? Explain. Isaiah 53:6, Romans 3:23.
2. What did Jesus say about this? Luke 13:3, Luke 13:5.
3. Who has been called to take this trip? II Peter 3:9-14, Revelation 22:17.
4. Will all that are called be chosen? Why? Matthew 20:16, Matthew 7:14.
5. Did Elijah have a means to fly? Discuss. II Kings 2:11-12.
6. Did Paul know someone who made a spiritual trip? What happened to that man? II Corinthians 12:1-4.
7. Do the righteous go to Heaven when they die or must they wait until the end? John 3:13.
8. What about David? Acts 2:29-34.
9. Did Job understand that he would have to wait for God to provide transportation before his trip? Discuss. Job 14:12-14, Job 17:13, Job 17:16, Job 19:25-27.
Note: Our trip into the air is to meet the Savior as He is on His way the second time to this earth. We will reign with Him a thousand years. Revelation 20:6.
10. Should today be preparation day? Luke 12:40, Matthew 25:6-13. ‘Watch’ means to be ready.
11. Will all the living saints and those who are dead in Christ be caught up in the clouds? I Thessalonians 4:13-17.
