Preview: A study of how, why, and when we should witness for God. This is the eleventh lesson in a thirteen-part series on this subject.

Pre-reading: Philippians 3:7-16.

Scripture Reading: Luke 15:4-10.

Memory Verse: Jeremiah 29:13.

1. Why should we be seeking those who are lost according to the foregoing Scripture Reading and Memory Verse?
Note: Many are seeking God half-heartedly but not finding Him. Many feel that there is no use in trying because they have rejected God and now He will reject them. They need to hear that they can find Him when they seek Him with their whole hearts.
2. What will this cause the sinner to do? Isaiah 55:7, Acts 16:31.
3. What will God then do for them? Ezekiel 36:26-27, Hebrews 10:15-17.
4. How must we answer those who feel that it is too late for them to accept Christ? Deuteronomy 4:30-31, Revelation 22:17, II Peter 3:9.
5. How do we counsel those who feel that they must clean up their life before coming to Christ? Luke 18:10-14, Matthew 9:11-13.
Note: Share with them the story of the prodigal son as recorded in Luke 15:11-32. Explain to them that Jesus would have died in vain if man could save himself.
Jesus must provide the feast and robe of righteousness. Man must come to Him just as he is.
6. How must we counsel those who fear that they have committed the unpardonable sin? Matthew 12:31-32.
7. Can this happen only to those who once had a personal relationship with God? Explain. II Peter 2:20-22, Hebrews 6:4-6.
8. How can we keep from falling into this pit? Hebrews 5:12-14, Hebrews 6:1-2.
Note: There is a point of no return for those who once knew God and deliberately turned against Him. Christians should warn and encourage each other in faith and Christian growth.
9. What happens when Christians begin leaning to their own understanding? Proverbs 14:11-12.
10. How can we prevent this from happening to us? Proverbs 3:5-7, Hebrews 4:11-12, Hebrews 4:14-16.
Note: We all must keep our eyes on the mark of our high calling in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.
